Today is the Day

Pay close attention to your life; your surroundings, the people you interact with, and your day-to-day activities. Everything that surrounds you makes you, well, you. Think of all the possible forces of the universe that brought you to this very moment: you are reading this blog post because you understand that you can do better, that things will get better, and that today is the day.

Whether we are suffering from severe anxiety, or a less intense but underlying sense of discomfort and stress, we all have something in common. We want to feel better. We want to stop the vicious cycle of anxiety, fear, and worry. We want to feel relaxed, secure, in control, and at peace. We want to enjoy each day, to feel excited about our lives, to be willing to take risks, to do whatever we want to do without debilitating fear or anticipation. Is that really possible? Absolutely.

Guess what? You are your own security; you don’t find it “out there”, you find it within you. I realized this for myself once. I found a powerful untapped source of strength and healing right here inside myself. This wonderful sense of inner security has gotten me through many a difficult challenge. Now I understand without exception that I am my own safe person and my own safe place. It is your turn to repeat:

No mater what difficulties life brings, I can take care of me.

Today is the day to start. Heck, any day is the day to start. But do it now, do it for your surroundings, do it for the people that surround you, do it to better your life. Live deliberately and with intention, live a life filed with joy – I believe in you.
